Our client is one of Louisville’s premiere electrical contractors.  They have been in business for 40 years and have close to 100 employees.  As the company grows, they need an additional experienced Estimator.  The ideal candidate will have some leadership experience.  If you have estimated for a General Contractor, a Mechanical Contractor or an Electrical Contractor you may be a qualified candidate.  Seven to ten years of experience is required.  Salary could be $80-90K plus incentives and a full benefit package.  Our client pays 100% of all health care insurance premiums.

Estimator Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled, motivated estimator to join our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for surveying projects, estimating labor and materials costs, and communicating financial cost and project timelines to customers. You must have a keen attention to detail and skills at estimating projects from a bird’s-eye view in order to set our client’s expectations accurately.
Estimator Duties and Responsibilities:
·        Fulfill client appointments in a timely manner
·        Asses projects by identifying project requirements (in regard to time, labor, and material costs)
·        Read blueprints and analyze all other applicable documents in order to prepare estimates
·        Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects during estimate creation in order to ensure overall accuracy
·        Act as the final say in the calculation, analyzation, and adjustment of estimates
·        Present estimates to clients in a timely and polite manner
·        Recommend cost-reduction options
·        Assist sales team in final project preparation transactions
·        Maintain thorough records  of all project documentation including estimates, sales receipts, and project completion documentation

Estimator Requirements and Qualifications:
·        Bachelor’s degree preferred; background in mathematics required
·        Voluntary certification in the field a plus
·        Previous on-the-job training a big plus
·        Ability to operate independently or with a crew
·        Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
·        Critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills
·        Time management skills
