Project Engineer – Water Division
Since the early 1900s our client has been building innovative, customized water tanks, industrial field-erected tanks and vertical concrete storage structures throughout North America. Their broad capabilities allow turn-key design, fabrication and construction for the water, wastewater, grain, coal, process, power and energy industries.
Our Client is in need of an experienced, career-minded Project Engineer to be a part of our team. The ideal candidate will be a highly-motivated individual with a strong work ethic. The Project Engineer will work under direction of experienced, licensed Professional Engineers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Engineer will work with the engineering team to establish project requirements, analyze and design steel tank structures with shallow and deep foundations; direct and review the designers’ detailed drawing packages; and will coordinate technical project requirements with client consulting engineers.  Additionally, this position will assist with support of the Sales department with preparation of preliminary tank and foundation designs. Support Project Managers, Plant personnel and Field personnel with technical expertise.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:
• Certification as Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with goal to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) License within 5 years                                                                                                                     
• B.S. degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with Structural emphasis required;
• Three (3) years’ experience in tank and/or foundation design is preferred;
• Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, steel and concrete design;
• Familiarity with AISC ASD/LRFD, AC1 318; and, ASCE 7
• Familiarity of AWWA D100, API 650 preferred
